- Super-sensitive pharmaceutical grade Hydrion diagnostic pH testing strips give you an accurate reading of how acidic or alkaline your tissues really are.
What liquids can I measure?
- Hydrion 5.5 - 8.0 pH Test Strips are the most accurate way of measuring urine and saliva. Because the measurements are in 0.2 - 0.3 pH increments, your assured of precise readings.
What product do you suggest for other liquids?
- Due to the precise measuring range of 5.5 - 8.0 pH Plastic strips (each 1 pH interval has a 10x measuring factor. For example, comparing a reading of pH 4 to pH 5, the reading of pH 5 will be 10 times more alkaline than pH 4), for accuracy in testing stronger buffered liquids, we suggest using 0-14 Plastic Strips that measure in pH increments of 1.
What is a buffered solution?
- A buffered solution is a solution with adequate dissolved solids to resist pH changes. For example, urine and saliva are considered buffered in their natural state. However, rain water, tap water etc. are considered to be dilute, weakly buffered solutions.
For testing weakly buffered solutions, we recommend our water pH testing kits.
